Is Carrie suitable for my condition?

For which conditions can Carrie offer relief?

Carrie is specifically made for problems concerning the pelvis and its muscles, ligaments, nerves and joints; the genital area; the sitting bones and the tailbone. Furthermore Carrie has a special anti-bacterial healthcare fabric that can be easily cleaned if you suffer from urine loss.

Is Carrie suitable for nerve pains (Pudendal Neuralgia) in the pelvic floor?

This cushion especially differentiates from competitors for these pains. Carrie comes equipped with an inflatable cushion in front of the sitting bones. By inflating this cushion with a small handpump you alleviate pressure so you can sit longer than otherwise possible. Also the interior of Carrie is made from two high quality foams with different firmness levels. You can find which firmness works better for you by flipping the cushion over.

Is Carrie suitable for pain in and around the tailbone (Coccygodynia)?

Carrie is also made for tailbone pains. The cushion has a hidden gap in the back of the cushion to relief the tailbone from pressure. Furthermore it comes equipped with an inflatable cushion in front of the sitting bones. By inflating this cushion with a small handpump you alleviate pressure so you can sit longer than otherwise possible.

Is Carrie suitable for pain in and around the genital area?

Carrie is also made for pains in the genital area. The cushion has a hidden gap in the middle of the cushion to relief the genital area from pressure.

What sets Carrie apart from other cushions?

Usability of Carrie

Can I use Carrie in the car?

Yes you can use Carrie in the car, but keep in mind that the seat will be raised by approx. 6cm. This means you will be lifted by approx. 6 cm as well. As a result the floor, backrest, steering weel and the arm rests will be approx. 6cm lower than usual. We suggest you try and find out for yourself if it is suitable for you.

Can I use Carrie on an office chair?

You can use Carrie on an office chair, but keep in mind that the seat will be raised by approx. 6cm. This means you will be lifted by approx. 6 cm as well. As a result the floor, backrest, steering weel and the arm rests will be approx. 6cm lower than usual. This is problematic because most backrests already don’t go high enough to support you in the proper way. For incidental use it will be ok, but if you want to use the cushion structurally on an office chair we advise you to contact us first.

Can I easily take Carrie with me?

Carrie has been made for incidental use in everyday situations. So you can take it with you on a boat, on the train, or while you’re waiting for the bus. Take it with you into the waiting room, or when you’re visiting a friend. In short; yes you can take Carrie with you everywhere.. Also we are planning to make a stylish bag for it, so stay tuned!

Ordering

Can I order multiple cushions at once?

Yes you can order multiple cushions in once. You can adjust the amount of cushions in the shop. A quantity discount is applicable from 5 cushions.

I would like to order a second cushion. Can I get a discount?

A quantity discount is applicable from 5 cushions if they are purchased at the same time. For your second Carrie you will pay the full price, or you can wait until we make you a special offer. If you are curious about our agenda for special offers, please contact us.

I would like to adjust the size of the cushion. Is that possible?

I would like to order Carrie as a gift. Is that possible?

Yes that is possible! How nice of you.. If you let us know in the ordering procedure that it is a gift, then we will wrap up Carrie in a nice way for the person that will receive it. If you also add a personal message for the lucky person then we will add that in the package as well. Moreover you can change the destination during the order procedure so that it will be delivered at the lucky person’s house. Well done!

Payment

I would like to pay by iDeal. Is that possible?

Yes we offer payments with iDeal.

I would like to pay by Sofort. Is that possible?

Yes we offer payments with Sofort.

I would like to pay by Creditcard. Is that possible?

Yes we offer payments with Creditcards.

I would like to pay by PayPal. Is that possible?

We are currently opening our PayPal account. As soon as it is functional we will change this F.A.Q item to “YES!”.

I would like to pay by SEPA-transfer. Is that possible?

Yes it is possible to pay by SEPA-transfer.

Delivery

How soon will Carrie be delivered?

We operate on Central European (Summer) Time because we are situated in the Netherlands. If an order gets placed before 5PM CE(S)T then we will send it the same day. Most Dutch addresses will receive Carrie the next day. For other countries we advise you to add a few days, or a few weeks, depending on the distance and reachability of the destination. At least you will be informed, because you will receive a tracking code to follow your package!

Will Carrie be delivered to my country?

We aim to deliver Carrie everywhere! If you can’t find your country in the list, please contact us.

Do I have to pay separately for delivery?

Because we send Carrie all over the world we have decided to let you pay for the delivery costs yourself. We send from the Netherlands. By filling in your contact data while ordering you will see the amount of the delivery change to your destination.

I have received a damaged cushion. What should I do?

First contact us by sending an email to service@carriecushion.com. Then send the cushion back to us by bringing it to your local post office. We will reimburse you the return costs and send you a new cushion.

Trial period and Returns

What do you mean with a 50 day trial period?

You always have the right to withdraw your order within 14 days if you order something online. You simply cancel your order and get reimbursed for the full amount of the order and the delivery. You will only have to pay for the return shipment if you have already received the goods.

We know that Carrie will relief sitting pain in many conditions. Moreover we trust Carrie to ease your sitting pain too. That is why we have prolonged your right of withdrawal from 14 days to 50 days. We think it is only fair that you are able to test the cushion to its full capabilities and for a substantial amount of time.

When does the 50 day trial period start?

The 50 trial period will start from the day after you have received the goods. The trial period will end after the last hour of the last day.

Just an example to make things clear: You receive Carrie on the 1st of March. That means that the last day to exert your right of withdrawal is the 20th of April before midnight.

Do I need a special reason to return the cushion within 50 days?

No you don’t need a reason at all. Whatever the reason, if you want to send Carrie back within 50 days then we will reimburse you the full amount of the cushion and the delivery costs. You will only pay the costs for the return shipping yourself.

I want to return my Carrie within 50 days. What do I do?

First send us an email at returns@carriecushion.com. We will send you a positive response if we receive your return request within 50 days. Consequently you can send the package to our address:

We will wait until we have received the cushion. Then we will check if the cushion has been used in a normal way. We will reimburse you for the full amount of the cushion and the initial delivery if the tear and wear is normal. If the cushion has been punctured or mishandled in any other way then we will execute our right to lower the amount of reimbursement. Either way we will not reimburse you for the return shipment.
